Innovation Café - Dave Perkowski will develop an Internet café , Tower Press Building, 20 -30,000 square feet with office space, cubicles, and access. This may also h ave a bike station with locker and shower facilities. Steve Manka is connecting design elements with the RTA. One Cleveland has the buying power for the One Cleveland connectivity. Need more inviting space and inclusive.

Cleveland is an OEM town with no end users

 

Strawbridge figured out that in order to attract young people you need interesting things happening

 

1970’s business community did not care about attracting young people…

clear strategy in Boston…but not in Cleveland

 

How did things begin to change in Cleveland?

 

It began with the actions of a few individuals determined to move toward something new….that tearing buildings down for parking lots was not the thing to do….

 

McClagh’s landmark was looked at…

 

A couple of things happened…people started moving into buildings like the Bradley Building
